The Alpine Thermal has been designed for cool/cold weather rides and/or commuting in predominantly dry conditions. Because of its 3 rear pockets, zippered valuables pocket, breathable, stretch fabric and reflective features. Alone it performs well in temperatures ranging between 40-65°F, with various vest and base layer combinations you can easily stay warm down into the low 30's. The pockets are designed for practical usability and optimal packability of cold weather supplies; a slightly wider center, "dump" pocket makes for ease of use with gloves and allows for storage of a vest, wind/rain jacket or bulky gloves. A zippered valuables pocket is ideal for I.D. or cash.
