We will work to make this a safe and enjoyable event and ask for your patience and active participation throughout. The event will start at 3227 Gabe Smith Road, Wade, NC 28395).
ROAD RACE. SATURDAY, MAY 2.
The road race will have law enforcement support. There will be pace cars and wheel trucks for each race field. The Chief Referee will determine if race fields are combined. We will try to have neutral water support for other than the first and last lap of racing. Scout Troop 701 out of Stedman NC will be providing course marshals at the 4 turns and the one overpass on the racecourse.
TIME TRIAL. SUNDAY, MAY 3.
We will try to send a provisional start list with your projected start times.
Regardless of your start time, you MUST be present for the course brief at 7:45 AM for the 22 mi and 9:45 AM for the 10 mi.
Racing begins promptly at 8:00 AM (22 mi) and 10:00 AM (10 mi), with racers starting every one minute.
The course is well marked and there will be volunteers on course. The course is OUT and BACK! The volunteers will also do their best to control traffic but…THIS IS NOT A CLOSED COURSE. Be mindful and never put yourself or others at risk.
