Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson is a general contractor and owner of Signature Properties, builds extensively in Fayetteville, the family’s hometown and in Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach.

Tim started in the real estate business, but soon found his niche in the building arena.  Tim a skilled pianist, is an artistic individual, and feels that his creative side is what makes him stand out as a builder.  “Other builders just weren’t willing to be innovative.  I took the exam, and was competent enough to learn to build houses.” Says Tim.  As the business has grown Tim has expanded to build homes in several different areas.

Signature Properties never duplicates a house.  If Tim’s clients like a plan for a house which has already been built, Tim will give them numerous construction options that set their home apart from any other.  “It’s like art.  Do you want to walk into someone’s house and see a picture handing on the wall that you thought you had the one and only of?  And the answer is “no,”” Tim says.

All of the houses Tim builds in Ocean Isle are “all about the view”.  If the lot doesn’t have a breathtaking view Tim simply isn’t interested.  In fact, Signature Properties has only built one home on the island that isn’t on the water and that home is second row house with an unobstructed view o the ocean. 

Because of the necessity for travel in Tim’s business and Tim’s long love of flying which he acquired working with Piedmont Airlines (later USAIR).  Tim started taking flying lesson and soon after bought himself a plane. “I just thought to myself, ‘It’s ridiculous to be doing this (driving) everyday and not making it home.  Tim’s Cirrus, a high performance, single engine plane, gets him to and from the beach in just over 20 minutes.

Tim is an emeritus Trustee for Museum of the Coastal Carolina and extremely involved in raising money to fund the Ingram Planetarium in Brunswick County.  He has also been active in funding Operation Blessing in Fayetteville.  Tim has offered his time and efforts with things like playing the piano for church and other functions, helping with little league baseball, helping his clients with everything from financing to arranging furniture, and more.  

Tim attended Campbell University, worked for USAIR, consistently ranked in the TOP 20 top producers while working with RE/MAX, started Signature Properties  in 1998, he is married and has two children.  

To his credit Tim has:
Sponsored Art shows, sponsored several plays at the Cape Fear Regional Theatre, fund raiser for many organizations, active in several churches because of extensive travel, key note speaker at Grayland in Winston-Salem, NC for a Real Estate Brokers’ Conference, member of  Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association, Fayetteville Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Fayetteville Home Builders’ Association, supporter of Terry Sanford Booster Club, sponsor of Cardinals little league baseball team, donor to establish better playground equipment at Alma Easom Elementary.  In a nut shell Tim believes in giving back to the community.
